800mW is sketchy af for IEMs... Thanks for bringing attention to this Amos. This why I ultimately skipped this one as I listen to both headphones and IEMs these days.

Hi, if I may suggest try pairing W4 with Ibasso CB19 OTG. I’m not sure but I think the separate power source from the power bank is able to provide more head room & overcome the power limitation of IPhones.

PS Audio is closing these out for the new MKII... I have one in my rack right now... I found it rather boring, overly smooth is an understatement, meh comes to mind. I cannot believe they sold these for $6000! I broke out my little $80 SU-1 and it honestly sounded better. This DirectStream MKI reminds me of the Cambridge DacMagic lineup. I need to crack the case on this DirectStream and see if they stuffed a DacMagic and a brick in there.

I’m a big fan of the Psvane sound. On the warm side of neutral. Euphonic. Quiet. Extended. Just put in a pair of 12Au7 Horizon in the driver section of my Prima Luna Proligue Premium integrated, with Gold Lions in the gain and Psvane EL34 power tubes. So far , I am not disappointed They replaced Brimar NOS. I prefer the Psvane. More open and dynamic without any glare. Dynaudio Excite speakers. Analogue front end. I listen to mostly blues/rock.

I bought a ray 6sn7 to try in my Schiit Saga preamp. I really liked the sound. Even though it is just a buffer circuit it transformed the sound of the preamp.

Can’t speak for the Horizon series, but have the Psvane 12au7-s Art series and these are great, the best I tried in my Primaluna gain stage. Tried Gold lion’s, NOS and a few others, and the Psvane suits my hears better. I am thinking of trying this brand for the power tubes as they now have a series the replicate the originals English Mullard. Thanks for sharing your views.

I have used the PSVANE 12Au7 and KT-88 products in my amps. Decent enough but went back to JJ gold pins after a year. Like the fact they are made in Slovakia which currently is a democratic republic, versus communist China. In my gear I also found JJ products to be more reliable and have a lower noise floor. Soley on sonic enjoyment, the best tubes I had in my rig are the New Sensor Gold Lion and Mullard reissues. I tend to avoid them though, albeit New Sensor is US owned they are still Russian made.

If you are a music producer/mixing engineer DON’T buy these! I have had multiple headphones. I got the LP2 in 2016 and they still work perfectly (I had to change the ear pads) BUT As I entered in the music production world and visited incredible studios, I’ve become more picky with the flat and detailed sound. LP2 are incredibly dark and lack of highs and mids. I normally use the Beyerdynamic DT990 pro and I wanted to try the M200. I WAS COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED with the M200. They are not studio headphones. Horrible. They cost more than a double of dt990 pro and sound like a 45€ headphones. No joke. For that price you can get Senheiser HD 600 or DT 1990 Pro

I have heard that the isolation of outside noise from the E3 is not good. Have you experienced this?

On another note, my E3 play very nicely together with the iBasso DX260, because it has quite some power for a DAP.

Any concrete recommendations for EQing the E3? ...or would you share your EQ settings (or equivalent settings for PEQs on other devices which don't have a hardware EQ)? Thanks for your very nice review, really enjoyed it!

I purchased the E3, absolutely amazing headphones, I'm using it with the RME ADI 2 DAC FS. Is it worth to get the Blue Dragon cable? Does it improve some sound quality ? I never bought custom cables for my previous headphones Any advices are welcome, thank you

I've been using my M11s with my HD600 and Ananda for a little over a month now and my experience has been great I can even run both at the same time through the balance output. The only real negative thing i had against it was the no lock function but using an app i was able to stop the volume from going up or down while it was in my pocket.

I use to think ‘decades ago’ that getting my head around turntables and tonearm/cartridge matching was difficult, trying to figure out what external DAC would best suit my Bluesound Node is next to impossible. Wether $1,000 or $3,000 there’s no clear winner in this digital world. 😵‍💫

Didn’t in an earlier vid he says he personally owns a mjolner 3? .. that’s a lower end priced amp, not that go big or go home even if it’s a good performer

This is the most comprehensive review I’ve seen on this product, will have to check out the channel. Currently my amp. Was able to compare to a far more premium amp & preferred the a90 so don’t know what to believe. Could just be a preference for tight, leaner & as much detail/texture as possible over other things..Great point on the D90 picking up noise, to me it was too sketchy without a getting the right cables & such

Its hard to unhear those sharp "ssss" with this IEM. lol! Very musical but the vocals are too far away. My IE80s is way more detailed and better sounding than this due to a more forward vocals.

As a non technical person : what happens if ' one resistor ' fails ? does the whole DAC then fail ? can they find that one faillure and repair or does it require to replace a whole board ?
